Cold Brew Coffee

By Chad Carns

TGB cold brew method extracts the rich flavor of the coffee bean without adding heat.

The natural flavor of this cold brew coffee recipe reminds me of when my Dad made sun tea as a kid. He filled a large glass jar with ice cold water, added about 10 tea bags then just left it out in the sun on a cool summer afternoon. The flavors always tasted so pure and simple to me.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 c coffee, ground
5 c cold water, filtered

DIRECTIONS:

Pour coffee and water into a stainless steel or glass container. Mix lightly. Cover. Go to sleep. Wait 12-24 hours. Pour coffee through a strainer to remove coffee grinds. Strain coffee through a coffee filter into a glass pitcher. Serve cold brewed iced coffee in a wine tumbler with ice.
